The Faculty of Management, PAHER University organized a two-days International Conference on “Mapping Global Changes in Business, Economy, Society & Culture” from 19th January 2018 to 20th January 2018, This conference has provided a platform for researchers , academicians and industry to share and exchange ideas on the various research related to the conference theme. The conference had four sessions spread over two days with expert’s key note addresses and interactive discussions. Total number of participants who has sent their willingness through mail to attend the conference was 450+ Among them, around 300+ participants from various Universities and institution across the country and abroad have been selected to register and presented papers in the conference. The experts and the resource persons were invited who have sound knowledge in the field of Business, Economy, Society & Culture.
The first day of conference was started with an inaugural session in which all the delegates were welcomed by Prof. Mahima Birla, Conference Director, after which chief guest of the conference Mr. Hansraj Chaudhary President UCCI, Udaipur has addressed the august gathering and congratulated the organizer of the conference for selecting this pertinent theme and also motivated students to become an entrepreneur of the future to enhance the GDP of the country. The inaugural was also witnessed by the presence of Prof. B. L. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice chancellor, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Shekhawati University, Sikar. He emphasized on the issues relevant to society and culture which were not given due significance even by the developed countries, he through certain illustrative examples tried to prove his submission. Then to proceed further the session was chaired by Prof. B. P. Sharma, Hon’ble President PAHER University. In his conference address he unfolded the various issues related to mapping the change in the area of Business, Economy, Society & Culture.He also emphasized change is the permanent feature and it is very tuff to even mark the changes in the dynamic world he also emphasized through various lively examples that how changes if not taken on time would lead to the failure of the products, projects, and even the nations.
Then ceremonially the inaugural session was concluded through vote of thanks by conference secretary Dr. Pallavi Mehta. After the lunch break all the technical sessions were started parallelly.
Track 01: Strategies for Reshaping Business & Economy
The theme of track one is Strategies for Reshaping Business & Economy was coordinated by Dr. Pushpkant Shakdwipee and Dr. Nidhi Nalwaya. The chairperson of the session was Prof. Rakesh Kothari, Vice chancellor, university of Rajasthan. The keynote address was given by Mr. M.V.S. Murthy, VP & Chief – People office & Workplace Solutions nuFuture Digital (India) Limited (a Future Group Company). The session was corporate chaired by Mr. P.P. Bhatacharya, GM (EXIM), Tempsens Instruments (I) Pvt. Ltd., Udaipur. In all 35 Papers were presented in this track were presented in two parallel session. The major themes discussed in this track were related to-Mapping IPR issues and challenges, business models and structures, global marketing and business trends, world economy, world trade relations and FDI.
Track 02: Reinventing & Predicting Practices in Management
The theme of track one is Reinventing & Predicting Practices in Management was coordinated by Dr. Dharmesh Motwani and Dr. Khushbu Agarwal. The key note address was given by Prof. R.S. Rai, Professor, Amity International Business School, Amity University, Noida. The session was chaired by Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Professor, School of Management Studies & Director Development, Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka and the session was corporate chaired by Mr. Madhukar Dubey, Managing Director & Founder, Fusion Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Udaipur. In all 80 Papers were presented in this track were presented in parallel session through online and offline mode. The major themes discussed in this track were related to-International business management, business environment, entrepreneurship development, strategic management, business policies, green technology, corporate social responsibility and areas related into business intelligence, corporate restructuring and consumer buying behavior.
Track 03: Mapping Educational & Social Changes
The theme of track one is Mapping Educational & Social Changes was coordinated by Dr. Kadambari Jain and Dr. Shikha Bhargava. The key note address was given by Dr. Anupam Bhargava, Economist. The session was chaired by Prof. Uttam Kinnage Prof. Karnataka University. In all 60 Papers were presented in this track on the major themes related to - Human Physiology and human inclusion, ethics and social responsibility, talent management, environment and climate change, higher education, social security, and issues related to corporate governance, employment and livelihood issues, nutrition and wellbeing, social welfare.
Track 04: Redefining Cultural Transformation and Sustainability
The theme of track one is Redefining Cultural Transformation and Sustainability was coordinated by Dr. Devendra Shrimali, Ms. Archana Singh and Dr. Subhash Sharma. The key note address was given by Prof. P. N. Mishra, Professor, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. The session was chaired by Prof. S.P. Bansal, Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi Haryana State University, Meerpur, Rewari. The session was corporate chaired by C.A. Anshul Mogra, Chairman, Udaipur Branch of CIRC, ICAI, Udaipur. In all 45 Papers were presented in this track on both the days. The major themes discussed in this track were related to-ethnicity, diversity and identity, cross cultural studies, language acquisition and learning, organizational communication, professional ethics, media nad publicity, business communication, soft skills and two very pertinent topic related to women empowerment and ethical standard for business and society.
This time we have also introduced online presentation of the participants through Google hangouts. The coordinators of this session were Mr. Ali Yawar Reha, Mr. Bhupesh Chaudhary.
In this session paper presenters were from countries like Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Dubai and cities like, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, Bangluru.
Best papers were selected from each track on the criteria of content, research methodology, and presentations skills.
All the selected papers of the conference will be published in UGC approved journals of the university.
This is how themes of all four technical tracks were concluded with a inclusion of high level deliberation thought processes and insights which lead to all of us think further for more in-depth discussion our the vast topic of Mapping global changes which we though tried to sum-up in this two days conference.
